It's been an incredible year for the CTE Health Occupations Class reported Instructor Melissa Fuehring.
Check out these stats!
34 students qualified to sit for the phlebotomy certification exam.
32 have already tested and 2 are going to test later this summer.
Of the 32 who've tested, 31 passed.
The national average for the number of people who've taken the NHA phlebotomy certification exam was 77% as of December 2022.
So far, WSESD CTE's students have a 97% passing rate (even if the 2 who have yet to test don't pass, our average is still at 91%).
While the numbers speak for themselves, it is even more impressive that all but 5 of these students were JUNIORS. At 16-17 years of age, these students beat the national passing average of a difficult certification exam by 20%.
Congratulations to Melissa and her CTE students!
