Program for Students with Severe Multiple Impairments

SXI Programs

Located at the WSESD Center, the program for students with severe multiple impairments (SXI) serves students with an array of behavioral, cognitive and physical needs, and contains elements similar to our program for the severe cognitively impaired. The SXI classroom places additional emphasis on partnering with parents and community-based providers in support of student transition planning needs and guardianship support. Moreover, collaboration with Community Mental Health Services (CMH) is extremely important in light of the continued need for services and support after the student completes special education.
