WSESD Special Education Classrooms
The WSESD operates special education program classrooms located at the WSESD building, and in the local buildings on behalf of the local school districts. WSESD houses a classroom for the moderate cognitively impaired (MoCI), a classroom for the severe multiply impaired (SXI), and severe cognitively impaired (SCI).
Early childhood special education classrooms are located in Baldwin Elementary School (Baldwin), Pere Marquette Early Childhood Center (Ludington) and Thomas-Read Elementary School (Shelby). Classrooms for the Moderate Cognitively Impaired are located in Mason-County Eastern Elementary (Custer), Lakeview Elementary School (Ludington), Ludington High School (Ludington), Spitler Elementary (Hart), Shelby Middle School (Shelby), and Hart High School (Hart). A classroom for the Severe Emotionally Impaired is located in Pentwater Elementary School.
